1. Banksy- “You Complete Me”

6th Ave and West 24th Street

  2. Banksy- “This is my New York Accent”
West 25th Street, between 10th and 11th avenues.

Less than an hour ago, I opened the New York Times website at the exact moment that they were announcing a new Bansky discovery. I left my apartment with nothing but my phone and sprinted the six blocks to West 25th, to find a few Arts Beat photographers standing in front of a graffitied garage door with, alas, a tiny yet wonderful white spray-painted Banksy.

The first new New York City Banksy was reported last night and subsequently painted over almost immediately. This newer piece has already been joined by tags from other artists, and is likely to be covered over or compromised within the next few hours.

I suggest running on down to the gallery district to see it before its too late.

A jaunty satire in a refurbished gas station using concrete livestock. Stumbled upon by me during a morning run. Ewe. Get it?
